Health Awareness & Diagnostic Camp Organized by Marengo Asia Foundation in Association with Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd., Ahmedabad

On 10th November, Marengo Asia Foundation, in association with Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd., Ahmedabad, conducted a successful Health Awareness and Diagnostic Camp. This camp was undertaken to encourage early prevention and detection of lifestyle-related ailments among the bank’s employees and the local population.
In the fast life of today, most health ailments like diabetes, high blood pressure, and overall health illnesses remain undetected until they are acute. At the camp, free screening facility such as Random Blood Sugar (RBS) test, blood pressure checkup, and general health checkup was conducted. Through affordable and proactive healthcare advice, the camp focused on early detection and preventive healthcare.
Diagnostic health camps such as these have a two-pronged function: they are not only imparting vital healthcare services but also enlighten the masses—particularly those with restricted access to healthcare—about the causes, hazards, and prevention of different diseases. Participants were also counselled with medical guidance, and those needing further treatment were referred for specialized care or surgery. It is through this strategy that minor health issues are treated before they become major problems.
